The Clinical Trial Participant Experience: Development of a Survey Instrument and Implementation in a Global Phase III Clinical Trial
Utilizing a case study format, this article shares how two companies partnered to collect patient satisfaction feedback through an online survey, upon completion of a Week 60 follow up visit of a ten-country psoriasis study. We share the methodology and results of a survey development study and explain the conduct of a global pilot implementation study. This article explains how benchmarking patient experience globally using anonymous feedback from patients through a satisfaction survey can help sponsors and sites better understand the needs of patients and will help improve studies in the future. The survey can be used by sponsors and CROs to include the patient perspective in future trial design, and run clinical trials in a more patient friendly manner. Research sites can use the survey results to connect with and understand patients' needs.
